Who is responsible

The owner of Harbourline Home Cleaning is responsible for how we handle personal information. You can reach us at [email protected].

What we collect

• Quote requests: your name, email, phone number if you give one, the service, your city, what you write about the job, any optional details you add (size, condition, how often, timing) and, if you used the price calculator, the answers behind your estimate.
• Where you came from: if you arrive through a link with a tracking code (for example from our Facebook ads or Google Business Profile), we record that code, the ad or campaign identifiers in the link and the website that sent you, so we know which channels bring enquiries.
• Only after you accept a quote: your address and any access instructions needed for the visit.

Why we use it

To prepare and send your quote, answer your questions and, if you go ahead, arrange and carry out the clean. We don't use it for anything else, and we don't sell it or use it to build advertising lists.

Who handles it

Only the people and services needed to do the work: Harbourline; the service providers we use to run the business, such as email, website hosting (Cloudflare, which also runs a spam check called Turnstile on the form and keeps a scrambled version of your IP address for 24 hours to stop abuse), our enquiry records and an AI assistant that helps organise enquiries and draft replies (a person reviews every quote before it's sent); and, once a clean is booked, the cleaner assigned to it, who receives only what's needed for that visit. Some of these providers may store information outside Canada.

Cookies and this website

This website doesn't set advertising or analytics cookies. If you arrive through a tracking link, the code is kept in your browser only for that visit so it can be sent with your request, and a calculator estimate is kept the same way until you send it. Our fonts load from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google's servers.

How we protect it and how long we keep it

We limit access to the people who need it and keep it in password-protected business accounts. Our enquiry records automatically delete a quote request that didn't become a booking, together with the quote we drafted for it, 12 months after it arrived. Copies that reached our business email account or our online form's response sheet are deleted when you ask us to. Booking and payment records are kept as long as tax law requires (in Canada, generally six years).

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete information we're not required to keep, by contacting us at [email protected]. We'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
